Safari Overview
This 4-day safari takes you on an exciting journey through some of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. From the elephant-dominated landscapes of Tarangire National Park to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, and finally, the diverse ecosystems of Lake Manyara National Park, this safari offers an excellent opportunity to witness Tanzania’s rich wildlife and stunning scenery. Enjoy comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, and expert-guided game drives as you explore the beauty of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to Planet Lodge in Arusha. Nestled in a peaceful environment, this lodge provides a relaxing retreat where you can unwind after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Arusha town, visit a local market, or simply enjoy the serene surroundings of the lodge. In the evening, a delicious dinner will be served, and you can rest in preparation for the exciting safari ahead.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a vast wilderness renowned for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. As you embark on a thrilling game drive, you will have the chance to see lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and an abundance of bird species. The Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline, attracts animals year-round, offering spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in a scenic spot inside the park before continuing with the game drive. Later in the afternoon, you will drive to Eileen’s Tree Inn in Karatu, where you will relax, have dinner, and spend the night in a comfortable setting.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Descending into the crater, you will experience one of Africa’s most densely populated wildlife areas, where you can spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard), along with hippos, hyenas, and flamingos around Lake Magadi. The crater’s diverse ecosystem supports an incredible variety of animals, making it a prime location for an unforgettable safari experience. After an extensive game drive, you will have a picnic lunch inside the crater before ascending to the rim. In the afternoon, you will return to Eileen’s Tree Inn, where you will enjoy a warm dinner and another restful night.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but incredibly diverse park famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and thousands of flamingos along the lake’s shores. As you embark on a game drive, you will encounter various animals, including elephants, hippos, and giraffes, set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. A picnic lunch will be served in the park, allowing you to soak in the beautiful surroundings one last time. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your preferred location or transferred to the airport, marking the end of an incredible safari experience.
