Safari Overview

This 3-day safari takes you through some of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife destinations, offering an unforgettable experience in a short time. You will explore the breathtaking landscapes of Tarangire National Park, home to vast elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, and then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with diverse wildlife. Comfortable accommodations and delicious meals will enhance your journey as you immerse yourself in Tanzania’s natural wonders.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha 

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to Planet Lodge in Arusha. Nestled in a serene setting, the lodge offers a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful gardens and comfortable rooms, making it the perfect place to unwind after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore Arusha town, visit local markets, or simply enjoy the lodge’s amenities. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and have time to rest in preparation for the safari adventure ahead.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park 

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a wildlife-rich sanctuary known for its massive elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and diverse ecosystems. As you embark on a thrilling game drive, you will spot an array of animals, including lions, zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes, along with countless bird species. The Tarangire River, which runs through the park, serves as a vital water source, attracting wildlife throughout the year. You will have a picnic lunch in the heart of the park, surrounded by stunning scenery and the sounds of nature. In the late afternoon, you will proceed to Eileen’s Tree Inn, a cozy lodge in Karatu, where you will enjoy a hearty dinner and a restful night.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This incredible ecosystem is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard), as well as hippos, cheetahs, hyenas, and flocks of flamingos around Lake Magadi. You will enjoy a game drive across the crater floor, witnessing the dense concentration of wildlife in one of Africa’s most spectacular settings. A picnic lunch will be served in a scenic spot inside the crater before you ascend back to the crater rim. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your preferred location or transferred to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of an unforgettable safari.
